Christianity is not a one-time event. It is the ongoing application of Scripture, prayer and paying attention to those around us. This is what the apostle John meant when he said to “continue” in Jesus Christ. Those who focus daily upon these disciplines will gain a spiritual momentum that will provide confidence on that final day.
