Calling on Churches to Help Resettle Afghan EvacueesThis is an incredible opportunity for the church to demonstrate the love of Christ!I am calling on churches across America to join with Samaritan’s Purse in helping to resettle families recently evacuated from Afghanistan. Tens of thousands of Afghans are now in holding camps at U.S. military bases. They need places to live and help plugging into local communities. Now is the time for churches to step up and care for these families who fled from terror under the brutal Taliban regime and left everything behind. This is a great opportunity for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to share the hope of the Gospel with those who are starting their lives over. Would you share this message with your pastor or church leaders? We are asking churches to pray about how they can get involved. This would be a significant commitment, and Samaritan’s Purse is committed to working alongside churches who answer this call. We have set up a page at samaritanspurse.org with more information on how a church can minister to these families. If the Lord has given you a heart for these families, please have your church leadersfind out more and add their contact information to our Afghan Resettlement Program page. Someone from our Samaritan’s Purse team will be back in touch with you promptly. We are so thankful for our church partners. Will you pray? Would you ask God to raise up churches across the country to wrap their arms around these families? May God bless you. Sincerely, Franklin Graham President, Samaritan's Purse |
