The Christian is called to take up their cross and follow after the Master. Yet denial is not the final product for this kind of life. When we turn to the Lord and follow there comes a life that is so powerful that it can only be captured in the terms of death and resurrection. God calls us to turn from our own ways so that we can experience His power. This is the way of the Master, and the life of God is found no other way.
