Last email we talked about the difference between First and Second Grace or the "in" and the "on" of the Holy Spirit. This week we're going to talk about why the Second Grace is important in our walk as Christ followers

Week 2: The Purpose of the Second Grace

“It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you” (John 16:7).

“… you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Jesus said the Holy Spirit is your Advocate, otherwise known as your empowerment for breakthrough! The Presence of the Holy Spirit as your Advocate is yours for the asking. The advocate ushers in the Second Grace Gifts There are nine gifts in total that the Holy Spirit wants to give us. They are described in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10.

Each of these gifts of the Holy Spirit contain His power for your “Breakthrough.”Just as Jesus and the disciples discovered the power of God through the infilling of the Holy Spirit you, too, are invited into a greater revelation or a Second Grace, known as the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You can invite the Holy Spirit to live in and rest upon you.
