Hope Is a Vision
December 2, 2023

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Having hope in God means that you have a vision of what your life can be like based on the words of God. There is no doubt that hope is a vision! You see it in your imagination, inspired by God's Word and promises you can rely on. Without a vision for your life, it's hard to move forward — to grow, improve, and develop. That's what we call despair. Our hope comes from studying the scriptures and from studying people like yourself who have transformed their lives. That's what we call fresh vision...

The Promise Leads the Process
This Week's Episode

On this first Sunday of Advent, Pastor Bobby teaches us from Isaiah 9:2, 6-7 and shares that the impact we have on the outside happens when we get a vision for who we can be on the inside, with his message, “The Promise Leads the Process.” Our interview guest is Heather Martin, a wife, mother, and author who spent 14 years working as a career counselor to help people find direction and calling. Her new book,The Best Gift of All, Daily Readings and Activities for 24 days of Advent and 12 Days of Christmas for the Family, helps connect the Biblical story of Christmas to how we celebrate it today. Special music is provided by Connor Smith and Terron Brooks. Today, Connor performs “Angels We Have Heard on High," accompanied by the Hour of Power Choir, directed by Dr. Irene Messoloras, and the Hour of Power Orchestra, directed by Dr. Marc Riley. Then Terron performs, "What Child Is This?", also accompanied by the choir and orchestra. Then, the Hour of Power Choir, along with soloist Anna Crumley, blesses us with a stirring performance of “Breath of Heaven." The choir is accompanied by the orchestra and Dr. Philip Hoch on piano. We hope you'll join us!
