Reminder of Senior Adult 60+ Meeting

Pastor Daniel Voss has said, the younger generation brings the energy, and the older generation brings the stability. I would like to believe that I have energy at 66 years of age still left in me to make a difference, but the truth is I’m mostly stabilized than I am energized. LOL (which means laugh out loud, not lots of love) for those of us who text.

I believe there is great opportunity for Mountain View Church to reap a harvest in the next 20 years in the area of reaching the 60+ plus adult population! Why? Because they are the fastest growing segment of the population.

Over 200,000 people are over 100 years of age. There are more people over 65 years of age than under 18. At least 11,000 people turn 50 every day in America and an additional 11,500 baby boomers are turning 60 each day. The adult population is growing three times faster than all the other age groups! The senior adult is often a forgotten or neglected part of the church. Relegated to the back pews, many seniors are not involved in church planning or programs. Yet approximately 70% of the average church budget comes from those 55+ and older. The 60+ have the TIME, TALENTS AND TREASURES to bless the church of today and tomorrow.

We believe that God wants us to be fishers of “all men and women, not keepers of an aquarium”. We are not a church that neglects the senior adult population by missing out on a great opportunity to capture the wisdom and resources you are blessed to give. The world recognizes the advantage of reaching this age group. Marketing is geared more and more toward senior adults. They recognize the experience and work ethic of many senior adults and want them for employees.

Opportunities to reach senior adults are everywhere. We want to be involved in an end-time revival. So, I would like to INVITE YOU to prayerfully consider being a part of the Senior Adults 60+ crew in our church and to community. God has not given up on the senior adults, and neither has Mountain View Church. We believe that Gods heart is to continue to release seniors across Queen Creek and SanTan Valley to have a vibrant and effective ministry to 60+ adults.

Truly, the fields are white hair, grey hair, died hair with age, (no pun intended) unto harvest. Please help us pray, plan, and prepare for this next season.

I would like to personally invite you to an INTEREST MEETING TUESDAY JANUARY 23 at 10am in Room 202 here at MV on LAUNCHING a massive crew that ministers with and to senior adults.
