This weekend, for Flower Mart 2024, the Cathedral Close is fully “In Bloom!” Rain or shine, returning to the Cathedral grounds for this free event are the ever-popular antique carousel and children’s rides and games, the beloved puppet show and the Cathedral tower climb. As always, our friends at All Hallows Guild feature numerous offerings from premier plants, unique gifts from a variety of vendors, spectacular free entertainment, festival food, and an international floral exhibit inside the Cathedral. Their White Elephant tent is filled with unique treasures, and you will find an amazing selection of books for young readers in the Children’s Book Tent. Since 1916, the volunteers of the All Hallows Guild have been dedicated to the care and preservation of the Cathedral gardens and grounds. Join acolytes, servers, and vergers from near and far on Saturday, October 12, for the Cathedral’s annual day of celebration, fellowship and learning. The day begins as participants join in the longest and most colorful procession imaginable—the Grandest of Processions—as we prepare to gather around Christ’s table for a festival Holy Eucharist. Following the service, participants are invited to spend the afternoon exploring the Cathedral and joining a variety of workshops.
