Our Lady of Fátima did not paint a "glass half full" image of the world to young Lúcia dos Santos and her two cousins, Jacinta and Francisco. She warned of future conflicts. She told them of countless souls lost to hell. She even showed them hell. But throughout her messages, she repeated the hope and comfort that comes about through unfailing trust in her Immaculate Heart. "You will have much to suffer, but the grace of God will be your comfort." —Our Lady on May 13th, 1917 "Do not be disheartened. My Immaculate Heart will never abandon you, but will be your refuge and the way that will lead you to God." —Our Lady on June 13th, 1917 And on October 13th, to the shock of thousands of onlookers, the sun danced, changed colors, and plummeted to earth, on the very day when Our Lady had promised a miracle to prove her presence and love. |
