Overcoming Trauma in Ethiopia

Samrawit suffered terribly during the brutal conflict in Tigray, Ethiopia. She was forced to flee her home and became separated from her husband. Her health deteriorated to the point that she couldn't nurse her youngest child or provide food for her other children. She was hopeless and considered taking her own life.

Samaritan's Purse supplied Samrawit and her children with food, but the shame and humiliation she endured during the conflict proved difficult to overcome. She then took part in our Biblically based trauma healing program and found the help she needed…
