SUNDAY, September 29 RECAP Attendance:  18 Online Attendance:  4 Weekly Giving:  $592.94 Budgeted:  $2729 Donate Now! August was what has become a typical summer month as far as giving and expenses are concerned.   Regular giving was down about $3700 for the month versus budget, but once again expenses were greatly reduced versus budget.  Overall we showed a bottom line number of a negative $900, but for YTD we are still up versus budget by $5100. We have successfully navigated our summer financially, and are looking forward to the Winter Disciples returning to Arizona!  However, our financial health for the future is dependent on our ability to attract new church members from the increase in population centers around the church.  Invite your friends and neighbors to church! The credit card balance is up a small amount to $24,800, however has remained steady at +/- $1000 throughout the summer. For the next 3 weeks we are going to be diving into Mark 10 and also Hebrews. This Sunday’s gospel reading includes both stern words about divorce and gracious words about little children. Come to worship to hear both law and gospel, both God’s call to the ethical life and God’s welcome of all of us who cannot fully obey. MINISTRY TEAMS Sign-Up to help God's ministry at Crossroads by serving on one of our Ministry Teams:  Welcoming/New Member/Hospitality Team Help organize & orchestrate reaching out and welcoming ALL people within the church and in the larger community, including organizing greeters and connecting with people who fill out connection cards. Social Team Help organize & orchestrate  our Social gatherings within the church community and in the larger community. Outreach/Faith in Action Team Help organize & orchestrate serving our neighbors within the church and in the larger community. Education/Faith Formation Team Help organize & orchestrate our Educational Faith Formation opportunities within the church and in the larger community, including Kid’s City. Worship Team Help organize & orchestrate worship within the church and in the larger community. Finance & Stewardship Team Help organize & orchestrate how we use our time, talents and treasures for ministry, including budget planning and auditing and helping the church treasurer when needed.  Prayer Team Help organize & orchestrate prayer ministry within the church and in the larger community. “The Station Coffee Co.” Ministry Team Help organize & orchestrate ministry for The Station Coffee Co within the church and in the larger community of Florence. MAKE LIFE BETTER Help support the Superstition Community Food Bank with their annual "Cereal Killer" Drive!  We will be collecting the above items through Sunday, October 27! Florence Make a Difference Day is a vibrant event that offers a variety of projects for residents and volunteers to participate in. From local clean-up to beautification, and everything in between, there’s something for everyone! Projects may include cleaning, painting, collecting litter, digging, planting, etc. We are going to volunteer as a church group together so please Sign-Up at church or by emailing admin@iamcrossroads.org. Another successful Feed My Starving Children Pack!  Join us next month on Monday, October 28 at their new location in Tempe! STATION COFFEE CO. HAPPENINGS The Station Coffee Co. is in need of a part time Barista. No experience required but must be able to work Saturdays and some evenings! If you are or know anyone looking for a job, please come to The Station and grab an application.
