Shoebox Collection Starts
NEXT WEEK!
November 18-25
National Collection Week is just one week away! If you haven't yet packed an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift, there's still time to shop for “wow” toys, school supplies, and other fun items that will delight the heart of a child in need. And don't forget to include a personal note and photo—sometimes these are the child's favorite things to receive!
How to Pack a ShoeboxRecently in Kenya, young Lemashon was among a group of boys and girls who received shoebox gifts in their extremely remote village. He was overjoyed by the presents he pulled from his shoebox, but even that was not the best part of the outreach event for him. It was the first time he'd heard about Jesus Christ, and his heart was glad to receive Him as Lord and Savior. Lemashon immediately enrolled in The Greatest Journey to learn more about the King of kings. He then started sharing the Gospel with his family, friends, and neighbors who had never heard the Name of Jesus Christ.
“Lemashon's passionate words are reaching those who have felt lost in despair for so long,” our local ministry partner shared. “His encounter with Christ through Operation Christmas Child has paved the way for the Gospel to shine forth.”
If you're unsure what to pack, check out our gift suggestions and then find the nearest drop-off location where you can take your boxes. You can also Build a Shoebox Online.
Above all, please pray for the boys and girls who will receive your gifts that their hearts would be open to the Gospel and they would realize how much God loves them.
Declare His glory among the nations!
Psalm 96:3
