Dear Peter,
I can’t tell you how thankful I am for Ryan T. Anderson and Alexandra DeSanctis’ book Tearing Us Apart: How Abortion Harms Everything and Solves Nothing. Its debut is so timely that we’re offering it, along with access to an online course How to Make Abortion Unthinkable, for a gift of any amount to the Colson Center.
The theologian Cornelius Plantinga says the following about sin:
The story of the fall tells us that sin corrupts: it puts asunder what God had joined together and joins together what God had put asunder. Like some devastating twister, corruption both explodes and implodes creation, pushing it back toward the “formless void.”
Anderson and DeSanctis’ book shows how abortion has caused this kind of corruption in health care, the legal system, the lives of those with disabilities, vulnerable women, and millions of pre-born children. In the last chapter, they push us to work together to build a culture of life.
Likewise, the online course we’re offering will do the same—reveal the corruption but give us strategies on how to live redemptive lives. It’s time to join with God in “restor[ing] the years that the locust hath eaten” (Joel 2:25) when it comes to abortion in the U.S.
Every gift helps us carry out this goal.
Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference and promote life right here, right now.
