Dear Peter,
Ten-year-old Trinity’s birthday is on Christmas Eve. That makes Christmastime extra special for her and her family. But it also makes her dad’s incarceration feel even heavier during the holidays. He has been in prison for 7 years—the majority of her young life.
Last Christmas, Trinity was really looking forward to the Angel Tree party she and her brother got to attend at a local church with their grandma.
At the party, Trinity got to do fun activities, including building a gingerbread house. She also enjoyed the story time, where she heard the message of Jesus.
“l learned that Jesus sacrificed Himself for us,” Trinity says. “He cares for us.”
Trinity's dad has reached out to her through Angel Tree for the past several years, doing all he can to make sure she receives a special Christmas gift and personal note from him.
Each gift has meant so much to Trinity, letting her know she is loved by her dad and not forgotten, even though he isn't with her.
But there's another child like Trinity who is missing her parent. And another dad who wants to put a smile on the face of his child this Christmas.
Will you help make it possible today?
