LENT SERIES  This Lenten series calls us to journey outside of our comfort zones and to embrace the unknown.  We will explore the wilderness and temptations that Jesus overcame.  This week we'll explore John the Baptist and his feeling unworthy and unqualified to baptize the Son of God. Feelings of inadequacy can force us to shrink back from pursuing the call God has placed on our life. What is holding you back from pursing the next purpose God has for you?   SCRIPTURE TEXTS   Matthew 3:13–17 John 1:25–34 HUDDLE/DISCUSSION QUESTIONS  What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message? Have you felt unqualified to complete a given task in your workplace? How did that feeling affect your job performance? Do you expect that God will equip you with everything good you need to accomplish his will? How have you seen God use Scripture and a Christ-centered community to equip people for ministry? Why was it important for Jesus to be baptized by John? What areas of your life do you need to submit to God’s will and God’s Word this week? WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BLESSING OF PASTORAL INTERN TIM PERLICK FEBRUARY 26, 2023 Join us on Sunday, February 26th as we offer prayers of thanksgiving and special blessing for our Pastoral Intern, Tim Perlick and his wife Andrea Arey.  Tim has been approved by the ELCA for ordination to Word and Sacrament ministry.  We will celebrate Tim and Andrea and their time with us as God's servants.  Following worship gathering there will be a special reception in honor of Tim and his ministry among us.  Please bring your favorite food dish to share.  We invite you to offer your cards of appreciation and words of encouragement during this reception.  BLUE JEANS DRIVE  SUNDAY, MARCH 12, 2023 Donate your used blue jeans to support our Women of Grace Missional Community.  They are making quilts and blankets from all the jeans collected to give our our friends at Hope Women's Center and the Navajo Mission. You can bring your blue jeans on March 12 and leave in bin marked "Blue Jeans".   MEET GOD 2023 LENTEN SCHEDULE Journey together with us on this Lenten journey for time of meditation and blessing. Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their little ones to play and learn at Crossroads' Toddler Time.  We'll provide stories, songs and crafts.  At the end of our structured sessions, littles can enjoy a pre-packaged (nut free) snack and play while adults can talk and share in their journey of raising small people.  This group is for children ages 0-5 along with their caregiver.  Register STUDENT MINISTRY SERVICE PROJECT February 26, 2023 We put snack foods and water into our Manna Bags during our December Hymns and Hops. Now, join us at the church to create an assembly line of sandwich making from 1-2 PM. We will deliver the Manna bags at the park from 3-4 PMand should be back by 5 PM. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.  The cost of the workbook is $20.00.  Scholarships are available.  REGISTER MAKE LIFE BETTER SPRING BREAK MISSION TRIP  MARCH 4th - 8th  This alternative 5 days and 4 nights spring break trip is an immersive learning experience to the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission inn Rock Point, AZ.  Participants will engage in life on the reservation by serving the school, clinic, food and water distribution and worship life with House of Prayer.
