LENT SERIES  This Lenten series calls us to journey outside of our comfort zones and to embrace the unknown.  Following God can lead us to unexpected places which in turn builds our trust in God.  This week we will explore how Jesus overcomes temptation by hungering for God’s righteousness instead of satisfying the needs of his physical body.   SCRIPTURE TEXTS   Matthew 4:3-4 HUDDLE/DISCUSSION QUESTIONS  What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message? Have you ever been so hungry that you ate something less than ideal just to fill your stomach? Describe a time when you were so “hangry” that you said or did something out of character. What happened as a result? When we are in the moment, we can be quick to satisfy our physical desires and disregard the standard God expects for his followers. Why do you think we give in to the lust of the flesh so easily? What are you filling the empty spaces of your soul with when you are lonely, tired, scared, or depressed? We have an urgent need for adult volunteers to support KidsCity as teachers and substitute teachers.  If you can offer 1 hour a month on Sunday, we'd love to welcome you to our Crossroads KidsCity Team.  Please contact Nicole Crowder or Pastor Charles for more information.   PARENT CONFIRMATION MEETING  MARCH 12, 2023 Confirmation ministry is a pastoral and discipleship ministry which helps students 7th-12th grade to identify more deeply with and understand the teachings of the Christian community and participate more fully in the mission of the church.  Join Pastor Charles following the worship service on March 12 as he  walks parents through the confirmation ministry of Crossroads Church.     REGISTRATION SUNDAY APRIL 9, 2023 Jesus commands his followers to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19). This is not a polite suggestion; it is a command from Jesus which he gives as his "last words" before his ascension into heaven! Baptism Sunday is a public event for the whole family of God to celebrate! If you would like more information concerning baptism or you are ready to be baptized or affirm your baptism, contact Pastor Charles.  BAPTISM SUNDAY MEET FRIENDS WOMEN OF GRACE MISSIONAL COMMUNITY MARCH 11, 2023 I 10:00AM This missional community is specifically designed to help women grow spiritually and connect with others in an effort to build authentic friendship among women.
