It’s often said that people can’t change. They are who they are, right? I beg to differ. As Exhibit A, I offer a recent Tuesday morning. My wife, Tanya, and I saw a movie. We enjoyed lunch afterward. It was a blissful three-hour outing. We’ll hopefully do so again soon. Understandably, you’re probably thinking, “So? What’s the big deal?” Rewind back to my earlier personal struggles. Workaholism nearly killed me. Mental health episodes took me off the grid, and into dark places, for long periods. The point is, a few years ago, I never would have devoted a Tuesday morning to personal quality time. Are you kidding? Talk about dead on arrival!
The Old Paul wouldn’t have considered it for a moment. It’s a workday, after all! There would have been no shortage of reasons: e-mails to answer. Meetings to attend. Projects to tackle. The New Paul – notice I didn’t say improved, as there’s still a long way to go – has better priorities. He puts family and health first. God opened his eyes. He prays daily for strength to maintain his path. I’ve changed. The process involved a lot of heartbreak and turmoil. Yet, it’s possible. If you’re in a place where you see the bottom approaching fast, know that you can turn things around. Work to recall what really matters in life. What you do is far less important than who you’re with and, sometimes, when you’re together. Always make time for your loved ones. The other demands will still be around - trust me.
You can change. Who you are now, doesn’t have to be who you’ll always be. |

Courageously Christian Series |

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9 |

God provides straightforward directives throughout the Bible. He tells us exactlywhat he wants us to do. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) is one of the most well-known. It’s a recruiting call to go forth and bring new disciples of Christ into the fold. This is a daunting command. Many Christians, confronted with its reality, respond with “You mean, me? I’m supposed to go out and share God’s Word?” Yes, exactly. Doing so takes courage. It was hard in Jesus’s day, and maybe even harder now. Where does one find the wherewithal to even start speaking? From fellow like-minded Christians … the kind you’ll encounter at two upcoming “Courageously Christian” events! I pray you can join us (in person or via live stream) at these inspiring, uplifting gatherings being held at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wis. Both feature amazing, empowering speakers. Even better, you’ll be surrounded by fellow Christians who are ready to evangelize. Perhaps like yourself, they’re just seeking a bit of soul fortification! Here are the schedule and topics:- June 6, “Discipling the Future Generation of Leaders”
- July 25, “How to Defend the Gospel at the Workplace”

Sound interesting? Maybe just the final push you need, to act on a call that you’ve felt for some time, deep inside you? Seating is very limited for these events. If you’d like to attend, e-mail me at pneuberger@csuiteforchrist.com. Livestream attendance, of course, is unlimited. We have to charge a nominal fee: $10 for one event, or $15 for both. If this sounds like the shot of spiritual adrenaline you’ve been needing, wherever you are, please e-mail me to join us. If we’re going to tell others about God, we need to be courageous for Him. It’s easier, and more fulfilling, with the love and support of others. These events are about being “Courageously Christian” … and about embracing God’s all-welcoming Christian community! |

Telling Stories that Matter |

The world can be a tough place … and it’s not getting easier. We all have challenges. Many are hard. Some are life-altering. From these burdens, God Moments are born. What’s a “God Moment?” It’s the revelation, a sudden realization, of God acting in your life. You feel His presence. His guidance. His comfort. God Moments often occur in challenging times. Other circumstances can manifest them, too - a hard decision to be made, a seemingly intractable relationship issue, or a moment where one feels directionless and questions the meaning of it all. God Moments are hallmarks of our C-Suite for Christ gatherings. At every meeting, one member steps to the front and tells their story of God’s life-changing power. They’re poignant, personal, and often emotional. We’ve collected God Moments from the 4+ years of C-Suite for Christ. They’re available on our website. Listen to a few. See if you don’t feel encouraged and inspired. You’ll realize you don’t face struggles alone. Other broken people are sharing these stories. As an old saying goes, we’re all in the same boat together. Click here to take in these tales of tears, tragedy, and triumph. Nothing resonates like real stories from real people. Maybe you’ll see yourself in some. You can also enjoy God Moments (and much more!) on the C-Suite for Christ YouTube channel. God’s abundance overflows at C-Suite for Christ. If you have questions or would like to learn more, please contact me at pneuberger@csuiteforchrist.com. |
