The easiest way to fall out of a pattern of good habits & consistency is to stop being focused & mindful about them. Operating as a ‘wandering generality’ on random auto-pilot - vs a meaningful specific - can be tempting because it can feel like a respite from the routine you’ve created. But beware…it can quickly become a slippery slope!
The longer you live your life on auto-pilot as a ‘wandering generality’, the easier it is to forsake the good habits you worked so hard to create in the first place! This can lead to a regression into unhealthy habits, and worst of all, breaking trust with yourself.
Don’t get me wrong - you should allow yourself to press pause here & there, because you’re human & that’s completely normal. But come right back to your healthy routine as soon as you can & get focused again. This will create a foundation of self trust & self discipline which is the main thing needed to stay consistent in the first place. It will solidify the good habits you’re endeavoring to implement into your life.
