Edward Graham Encourages New Yorkers After Flooding
Edward and Kristy Graham recently met with residents of Highland Falls, New York, whose homes were suddenly flooded when torrential rain pounded the area on July 9. The Hudson Valley is a special place to the Graham family as Edward, a former Army Ranger, attended the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and Kristy's father taught there.
Samaritan's Purse quickly responded to the catastrophic damage in Highland Falls with volunteer teams mudding out homes, spraying for mold, and removing debris. One of the homeowners Edward and Kristy met with was Vietnam War veteran Dexter Bunte whose basement was swallowed by four feet of water. Team Patriot, made up of alumni from Samaritan's Purse project for military couples—Operation Heal Our Patriots, worked to help get Dexter back in his home.

Samaritan's Purse is also responding to devastating floods in Vermont, a result of the same storm system that hit New York, as well as in Arkansas and Oklahoma. We praise God that we are seeing many come to faith in Christ across all deployments! Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
