ABC’s -Abiding, Believing, ????

ABC’s -Abiding, Believing, ????
Prayer is as simple as ABC,
but sometimes we forget the “C” part.

“A” is Abiding-coming into God’s presence and being reassured of who we are in Him.

“B” is Believing-reminding ourselves of His mighty promises and faithfulness.

“C” is…Now what was “C” again? Complacency? “No.” Confusion? “No.” Cappuccino! “I wish.”

Some people might think that Abiding and Believing is enough, and when it comes to salvation, that’s true, but when it comes to serving God’s purposes on the earth, we can’t stop at believing. We live in a spiritual war zone, surrounded by prisoners of war. It’s not enough for us to be close to God and to believe his promises. We have to apply those promises using the authority He has given us.

So what is the “C”? Here are some clues:

Eph 6:11 Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Ex 8:20 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the water and say to him, ‘This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ps 17:13 Rise up, O LORD, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.
