You can provide emergency shelter for a family in war-torn SudanKarima and her family The war in Sudan has created a major humanitarian crisis in that country... but most of the world isn't paying attention.
Millions of people have already been displaced. Many ethnic Christian Nubans have fled the cities to their ancestral mountain homeland in Southern Kordofan. Karima is one of those Nuba refugees. Karima is a widow who left the Nuba mountains as a young woman and moved to Sudan's capital city, Khartoum. When fighting broke out in April, 2023, Karima and her family had to leave everything they had built for 40 years and flee back to the mountains. When they arrived at their old home place, only ruins remained. Thankfully for Karima, Persecution Project sponsored, through the local church, a distribution of emergency supplies for displaced families like hers. One of the most important items given to Karima was a heavy-duty emergency shelter tarp. Karima was able to use the tarp to cover the temporary grass hut her family constructed to live in while they rebuild their lives. With your help, our teams recently distributed enough tarps to cover 4,000 additional families. Will you help us shelter more families like Karima's?
A $40 gift represents the cost to purchase and distribute a heavy-duty shelter tarp to one family. For $400, we can distribute tarps to 10 families. And so on. Thank you for your prayers and for your part in helping us respond to this crisis. Thank you! Emergency supplies arriving in the Nuba Mountains
