She Believed God's Word October 7, 2023"‘Truly I tell you,’ he continued, ‘no prophet is accepted in his hometown. I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon.'" Luke 4:24-26 What if I told you that when you believe God's Word, you will be rewarded for it? | Keep Showing Up: Building Connection with God and People This Week's EpisodeThis week, Pastor Bobby encourages us from Matthew 20:9-15 and teaches that becoming more starts with showing up. We live in a world where we don’t respond to phone calls, invitations or text messages, but we can be different than everyone else. Keep showing up, and we'll keep growing up, with today’s message, “Keep Showing Up: Building Connection with God and People.” Our interview guest is Barry Meguiar, the president of Meguiar’s Car Wax, which he grew from a small family business to one of the leading car waxes around the world. He is also an author and host of the podcast "Ignite with Barry Meguiar." His most recent book, Ignite Your Life: Defeat Fear with Effortless Faith, encourages readers to help others grow closer to the Lord through their actions and words. Special music is provided by Jennifer Rockett, a worship leader from Los Angeles, who loves being able to share her passion of singing and uplift others through music. Today, she performs “Raise a Hallelujah" and is accompanied by Dr. Marc Riley and the Hour of Power Orchestra. Then, the Hour of Power Choir, under the direction of Dr. Irene Messoloras, performs “O! What a Beautiful City” and "Rejoice, the Lord Is King." We hope you'll join us for this inspirational service! |
