Peter, it's so worthwhile!

Costly? Yes. Worthwhile? Absolutely!

You’ve heard me say that your kids are always watching. They observe your every move, statement and action … even when you’re unaware.

They’re learning, too. You’re their biggest teacher. Thus, be careful what you do or say – the outcome can be very unexpected!

As Exhibit A, go with me back to summer 2019. My entrepreneurial career was in full swing. I was running several businesses. C-Suite for Christ was still small, yet growing.

My two sons, Kennedy and Hudson – now 11 and 9, respectively – were at the ages where they asked a lot of questions. They were increasingly interested, for example, in how I earned a living.

Unlike most of their friends’ parents, I didn’t go into an office every day. I didn’t leave home, and return, on a set schedule. I was traveling more and more. No two days were ever the same.

Salary? Not when your income relies on the timeliness (or lack thereof) of client payments.

Kennedy and Hudson took this all in. They also picked up how I used social media to promote my business activities. Being bright young men, they figured money was there to be made.

I welcomed their interest. Why not teach them how to strategically monetize an opportunity?

Well, maybe I should have seen this coming. The boys came up with an innovative concept: If they could entice people to like a LinkedIn post, would I pay them?

Sure, I said. At worst, I’d have to fork out a few bucks. At best, the post would generate decent engagement that would only help my personal brand.

The photo below displays the visual they come up with for the post. Simple, straight and to the point. And, as soon as it appeared online, the comments started coming in. And in. And in. And in …

All told, nearly 3,400 LinkedIn userscommented on a post that two pre-teens devised. It blew away anything I’d ever done.

Soon, too, I realized I’d promised Kennedy and Hudson payment to each of them for every comment! Where was my head when I made this deal?

So, I paid the boys nearly $6,800. I mandated that three-quarters went into savings. The rest was theirs to spend. Think they weren’t happy?

Nevertheless, I was glad to write the checks. My sons learned a huge lesson in entrepreneurialism. The expense was money well spent.

Kennedy and Hudson experienced how success was all up to them. Waxing creative, and thinking through options, can pay off. They won’t forget anytime soon.

Hopefully, the lessons you’re teaching your kids won’t cost thousands of dollars a pop.

The best – such as those demonstrating kindness, gratitude and generosity – don’t have to cost anything. If you’ve ever needed a reminder to incorporate these into your daily life, here it is.

Just remember who’s absorbing everything you do – every moment, of every day.

Be a Captain for Christ!

And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple!”
Psalms 150:6
The word is spreading, and number of attendees growing, for the March 7, 2024, Covering the World in Christ Celebration!

Really telling the world, though - and driving the interest we know is out there - will take a team effort.

Are you ready to join us as a Christ Captain?

Our Christ Captains play a vital role in positioning this momentous celebration to start winning the world back for Christ. They will be our ambassadors, telling everyone in their network (and even outside) about coming to hear keynote speaker Tim Tebowand award-winning Christian musician Matt Maher.

How? By using every resource at their disposal: social media posts, e-mail blasts, talking up the event at church and work, and even posting flyers in public places.

This is a volunteer role, but C-Suite for Christwill make it worth your while. You’ll get a free one-year organization membership (criteria apply), three tickets to the Covering the World in Christ Celebration (in-person or livestream), and a $25 S.W.A.G. Store gift certificate. Plus, you’ll be entered to win an item signed by Tim Tebow!

Are you game? Ready to take on the challenge to “Cover the World in Christ?”

You won’t be alone. You’ll receive helpful resources, and even in-person coaching. Being bold and unapologetic about Christ takes courage. We want you to be comfortable and prepared.

The best way to drive attendance March 7 at the Washington County (Wis.) Fair Park & Conference Center is through personal relationships. We need disciples talking with others, in person and online, to share the joy and love they’ll experience at this faith-filled festival.

If you’re ready to be a Christ Captain, e-mail me at pneuberger@csuiteforchrist.com. We’ll get the ball rolling, so you can get the good words flowing.

As Christ’s disciples learned, carrying His cross is hard. The world can be hostile and unwelcoming. Nothing that is good, or needed, comes easily.

Start as a Christ Captain now … and see if you don’t feel like a champion soon!

Free Book? Any Takers?

A slogan I embodied (and used) many years ago – even before my sons siphoned nearly $7,000 from me for a LinkedIn post - was “Making the impossible, possible.”

I loved tackling hard tasks. I welcomed high walls to climb. I relished challenges that others deemed unachievable.

In short, I loved showing that the impossible was, indeed, possible.

My primary business back then was sales training – especially cold calling. A prevailing myth held that cold calling was dead. No sense trying to learn an unlearnable skill, the “experts” all said.

I turned this notion on its head. I taught thousands of salespeople how to use cold calling to get in front of who they wanted, when they wanted to do so. Many enjoyed incredible success employing principles from my proprietary training.

I enjoy every moment disproving the “impossible” label slapped on cold calling. I went a step further, plowing this passion and content into my Amazon best-selling book, “The Secrets to Cold Call Success.”

The book has sold thousands of copies. Readers gave it a 4.6 rating on Amazon. More sell every month.

Would you like a copy … for free?

Maybe I’m in a generous mood. Or maybe I want to keep proving that it’s possible to become a world-class cold caller.

Reply to this e-mail for your copy. Put “Free Book” in the subject line. I’ll send an $8.75 invoice for shipping and handling. Pay it, and your book is en route.

Even if you’ve been unsuccessful with cold calling, I know you can master the craft.

The Secrets to Cold Call Success” is full of original tips and insights from my years of sales training. Its pages lay out the strategy, tactics and even script you’ll need. What better way to start a new sales year?

Here’s my ask: If you like “The Secrets to Cold Call Success,” tell others about it. That’s all. Your referral is good as gold!

Sales is rarely easy. Some say cold calling is the hardest part.

Read my book - for free - and see if you can’t make the impossible, possible.
