Summer Programs: A July 4th Musical Celebration and More

Join the Cathedral's Summer Programming Celebrate July 4th at the Cathedral with a free music celebration featuring the US Army Band "Pershing's Own" Brass Quintet and Timpani and Cathedral Organist Thomas Sheehan. Enjoy special sightseeing hours and mindfulness practices during Wind Down Wednesdays starting July 10th, and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Space Window with kids free admission during our Space Window Celebration. July 4th Musical Celebration Thursday, July 4, 11 am You're invited to the Cathedral on July 4th for a free performance featuring the US Army Band "Pershing's Own" Brass Quintet and Timpani and Cathedral Organist Thomas Sheehan.  This Independence Day concert includes the world premiere of commissioned work Radiant Revolutionsby Carson Cooman. No tickets required. Calm your senses with the wonder and awe of the Cathedral’s soaring nave architecture while delighting in the sounds of peaceful live music Experience the beauty of the Rose Window’s reflective light at sundown with a visio divina meditation Join guided mindfulness activities in the Cathedral’s oldest chapel, Bethlehem Chapel including Laughter Yoga (July 10 and 17) and Tai Chi (July 24 and 31); activities will have three rotations (6-6:20, 6:40-7, 7:20-7:40) Walk the Labyrinth in St. Joseph’s Chapel Learn more→ Space Window Celebration July 19 and 20, 10 am - 5 pm The Cathedral’s Space Window—which includes a piece of moon rock brought back by Apollo 11 astronauts—was dedicated 50 years ago this July!
